How SASS can support and inform you during the current COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak

23 March 2020

In these uncertain times we want to assure you that we are working on ways to stay connected with you and provide support and information during this Coronavirus outbreak.  It is a challenging time for us all and it is important that we all stay as healthy, well and supported as we can.

We encourage you to visit www.healthdirect.gov.au for the latest advice, information and resources about COVID-19.

Service update

SASS will continue to provide as many of our usual services as we can. However, as the health and wellbeing of our staff and clients is our priority as of Wednesday 25th March the SASS office will no longer be open for face-to-face appointments. We will be providing all of our usual services (enquiries, information and support, crisis services, Redress Support Services and counselling) over the phone. Our counsellors will be in touch with all current clients over the coming days to talk about what this might look like for them. We will also continue to accept referrals as per usual.

Our aim is to continue to deliver all our counselling, crisis and support services - whether these are delivered onsite or over the phone - with as little disruption as possible. Our services, will as always, be delivered with our usual high degree of professionalism, privacy and confidentiality.

While we are still providing face to face counselling and support this Monday 23rd and Tuesday 24th March, we ask that you do not come to our office if you are feeling unwell, have recently returned from interstate or overseas, had close contact with someone returning from overseas or who has corona virus. If this is the case, please phone us to reschedule or arrange phone counselling.

If you have any questions at all please don’t hesitate to contact us on (03) 6231 0044.
