Our vision at SASS is for a healthy, safe Tasmania free from sexual harm. To achieve this, we need to educate Tasmanians – and this is what Sexual Assault Awareness Month, or SAAM is about!
SAAM runs right through April. It provides an opportunity for individuals and organisations to help increase public awareness about sexual assault and abuse. SAAM 2023 is all about consent.

CONSENT IS A CONVERSATION
So, let's get the conversation started in April this year! By raising awareness and educating our community in schools, workplaces, homes, social settings and online, we can all help play our part in preventing sexual assault.
SAAM is also a great time to show your support for survivors. Host a workplace morning tea, come along to one of our partner events listed below or join a workshop. Grab a teal ribbon or wristband for a $2 donation - it's less than the cost of a coffee and you'll be making a real difference.
All donations go directly to providing support and services for survivors of sexual violence, as well as consent training for schools and local organisations. SASS is a registered charity, so donations over $2 are tax deductible.
