24 hour help-line Counselling and support Training

SASS is a free and confidential support service for southern Tasmanian people of all ages who have been affected by any form of sexual violence. We also provide Redress Scheme Support Services across Tasmania.

Our mission is to work towards achieving a healthier,  safer community in Tasmania, free of sexual harm.

We provide information and support to professionals, and offer a range of training workshops and education sessions throughout Tasmania.

Shared lived experiences and evidence to provide an impetus for change

Earlier this week, our CEO Jill Maxwell had the honour of providing evidence to the Commission of Inquiry into the Tasmanian Government's response to Child Sexual Abuse in Institutional Settings.  Jill says it has been an emotional and challenging week for many people, however the importance of the Commission of Inquiry is very clear.

Ticketed training workshops

Our next round of ticketed training workshops has just been released, with all workshops now open for bookings. Sexual Trauma First Aid, which is one of our most popular workshops, is offered statewide again. We have two new workshops available over the winter months: Child Safe Training Spaces and Teaching Kids Consent. All our ticketed training is open to members of the public, and is tailored to general audiences.
