MELALEUCA HOUSE provides individual counselling and group programs for female and male survivors of sexual assault 18 years and older, also family members and support people.

The Child/Youth Sexual Assault Support Service ~ Now known as GALILEO HOUSE...

Counselling staff at GALILEO HOUSE  consists of 4 counsellors (including a male counsellor) all counsellors/psychologists are tertiary qualified.

Provides counselling and support to victims of sexual assault aged  0 – 18 yrs and their support people.

Provides counselling and support to children up to 12 yrs displaying problem sexual behaviour.

Provides community education and consultation to professionals.

This service is located at 73 Federal Street, North Hobart.  Open Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm.

All clients have the right for their personal information to remain confidential when making contact with the Sexual Assault Support Service (SASS).

No information identifying any SASS client, either verbal or written, shall leave the service without the client’s full permission, in writing.
